Position Summary

The Fabri-TRAK Installer will be responsible for prep and installation of Fabri-TRAK acoustical wall systems. The individual must have experience in general construction and maintain a great, “willing to learn” attitude while always striving to improve in knowledge and efficiency. The individual must be able to read and understand design documents and CAD drawings for installation purposes and be comfortable working in lifts, on ladders and in high places that may be difficult to get too. The individual must be able to travel extensively and be able to drive the company vehicles with a CLASS E driver’s license. Ability to follow directions, solve problems, work with others as a team and have good social skills to interact well with clients and staff alike is a must. The individual would also be responsible for installation of audio, video, lighting, scenic and staging systems when required.

Duties and Responsibilities

Installation of Fabri-TRAK acoustical wall solutions to include:

  • measuring, cutting and mounting track to a variety of services, cutting, applying and tucking material and detail finish work
  • Advancing projects by reviewing their scope and understanding required resources
  • Prep work for projects in shop as required including loading and unloading trucks
  • Assist as needed with installation of audio, video and lighting systems as well as scenic and staging elements as required
  • Coordinate installation needs with onsite installation and project management.
  • Excellent time management skills to work on and keep track of multiple projects simultaneously
  • Maintain a safe, secure and healthy work environment
  • Knowledge of, adhering to safety codes (OSHA)
  • Adhering and recognizing proper safety procedures and potential hazards
  • Extensive travel to jobsites
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Job Requirements

  • 2-5 years of related experience
  • Able to work back to back long day if the project demands
  • Travel to job sites as required (120-175 total days per year) Normally, this will be 2-3 days at a time up to three (3) weeks per visit.
  • Valid Class E Driver’s License
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

Education/Licensure

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience

  • Minimum of 2-5 years but prefer 5+ years of project industry related experience
    Prefer experience in lighting system installation/operation

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, schematics and construction
    documents
  • CAD, Adobe, and other graphic software desired
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
  • A positive professional demeanor
  • Able to hand work stress effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of safety protocols: OSHA regulations
  • Excellent time management skills and able to multi-task
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions with precision
  • Able to communicate effectively with clients and all levels of staff
  • Proficient basic computer skills and using standard Microsoft office software (Office 365, etc.)
  • A good team player
