Project Type

Projects include professional audio, video, and lighting systems and custom fabrication of aesthetic elements up to and including a full renovation of spaces within high-profile houses of worship and corporate projects.

Reporting Relationship

The Client Representative will work alongside and in conjunction with the client development and design teams and report to the Vice President of Client Development to successfully develop documentation of sales assets for prospective projects as assigned.

Position Summary

The Client Representative will be responsible for the development of sales assets including proposals, quotes, and various design documents for prospective projects in high profile church and corporate environments. This individual must have an excellent and diverse knowledge of the industry's latest technology. The individual should always be striving to improve their education, skills, and efficiency. The person should be an excellent communicator who can work well in high-stress situations and be a high-capacity self-starter with excellent client skills. Ability to focus on directions, solve problems, and work with others as a team and staff alike is a must. This not strictly an office job. The individual must be willing to travel regularly for client meetings and presentations.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Five to seven years of professional audio-visual system experience
  • Valid Class E driver’s license (or attain within one year of employment) and good driving record.
  • Must be minimum 21 years of age.
  • Ability to work back-to-back, 10-hour days and occasional longer days.
  • Ability to read and understand CAD design plans a must.
  • Regular, nationwide travel to job sites and client meetings
  • Extensive experience using the current technologies of the A/V and electronics-related trades a must.

What does this job entail?

  • Interpret design intent from client and design team members and research proper equipment packages to achieve client goals of functionality within budgetary parameters.
  • Prepare documentation to aid the Client Development team in the presentation of projects.
  • Prepare quotations and proposals for equipment-only sales, installed systems, and service calls/labor requests to achieve client goals in a competitive field while ensuring financial success for the company.
  • Conduct site visits/surveys to collect information to help advance the installation.
  • Attend design meetings to assist with gathering information for project design parameters.
  • Communicate with clients and team members about project status and needs.
  • Always work to maintain a clean, safe, and secure work environment.
  • Carry out work adhering to OSHA safety protocols and company procedures.
  • Assist other Paragon teams as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What skills will be valuable?

  • Proficient in basic computer skills and use of standard Microsoft Office software such as Office 365, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Understanding of or experience with AutoDesk suite, EASE, and other industry software.
  • CTS, Q-Sys, Dante, Biamp, or other industry certifications.
  • Ability to read and comprehend architectural drawings, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Leadership skills: problem-solving in high-stress environments; positive, professional, client-friendly demeanor; verbal and written communication skills; comfortable delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback; time management; ability to multi-task.
  • Team player who values and adds to excellent team culture.

What are the physical demands of the job?

  • Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time daily.
  • Must be able to kneel, bend, stoop, push/pull, crouch, and balance for long periods of time daily.
  • Must be able to use hands for grasping and fine manipulation.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak with a positive attitude with the ability to recall, remember, and work well under stress for long periods of time daily.
