Role and Responsibilities

The Video Installation Lead is responsible for the installation of video systems on all Paragon 360 projects. This position will work closely with members of the design team, installation leads, and project management to ensure that systems are installed and completed as designed, and in accordance with Paragon 360’s high standards.

The responsibilities of this position include (but are not limited to):

  • Installation and termination of video systems
  • Shop prep work including rack building, equipment testing, job prep, etc.
  • Review of equipment lists and project drawings
  • Loading and unloading trucks

As a member of the installation team, employee may from time to time be called on to:

  • Assist with the installation and termination of audio, lighting, staging, and scenic systems
  • Provide general labor assistance as required at the shop/office to include
  • Shop and vehicle maintenance
  • Miscellaneous errands
  • Assist with unpacking boxes, shipments, receiving, etc.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in video installation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Basic understanding of IPv4 networking
  • Basic understanding of Ethernet switching hardware and network topologies
  • Ability to quickly and reliably terminate common cable types, including but not limited to:
  • RG-6/RG-59 Coax – BNC/RCA/F
  • Category cable (CAT5e, CAT6) – RJ-45/8P8C connectors, punch-down jacks, patch panels
  • Balanced-pair/audio – 3-Pin XLR (M/F), TRS/TS

Preferred Skills

  • Assist with on-site commissioning, programming, training, and client education.
  • Offer technical support for video installations as required.
  • Honesty, integrity, credibility, and a commitment to the mission of Paragon 360 is a must.
  • Ability to exercise good judgement in a variety of situations.
  • Excellent people skills with ability to partner with leadership team, clients, and associates.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a self-starting attitude.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high energy environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to represent Paragon 360 professionally to clients, vendors, visitors, and guests – online, over the phone, and in person.
  • Extremely dependable and committed to a team environment.
  • A Missouri Class E Driver’s License is required.
  • Proficient with RenewedVision ProPresenter (Version 6).
  • Proficient with RenewedVision ProVideoPlayer (Version 2, 3).
  • Experience with video production workflows.
  • Experience with Apple Macintosh OS X.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, crawl, climb; lift approximately 50 pounds; work from ladders, scaffolding, and lifts. The employee may occasionally be required to work in confined spaces under stages or in attics. This list is meant to be representative and not fully inclusive. Base compensation is negotiable and commensurate on experience.
