Office Receptionist

Position Summary

The Office Receptionist will be responsible for greeting and directing customers in person and on the phone. This individual will be managing a multiline phone system for multiple companies within our family of companies. This person should be socially focused and comfortable in a fast-paced environment and be great at multitasking. The individual should always be striving to improve their skills and efficiency. The person should be an excellent communicator that can work well in high stress situations, be a high-capacity self-starter with excellent client skills. Must have the ability to follow directions, solve problems and work with others as a team and staff alike is a must.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Two to three years of professional office experience.
  • Valid Class E driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills and use of standard Microsoft office software such as Office 365, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Proficient in use of multiline phone systems.
  • Friendly, positive demeanor with a sense of humor.
  • Excellent organizational skills with impeccable follow-through skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Team player who values and adds to an excellent team culture.

What does this job entail?

  • Clerical Office Work: answering phones; greeting and directing guests; making copies; retrieve and distribute mail; receipt scanning for accounts payable; hospitality for meetings and guests; special projects for company events and guests’ visits.
  • Coordination and collaboration with staff, clients and vendors as required.
  • Responsible for keeping the front office area and conference rooms clean, straightened, and ready for guests.
  • Monitor, manage, and order office supplies to ensure adequate supplies for day-to-day operations.
  • Assist other office staff as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Leadership skills: problem-solving in high stress environments; verbal and written communication skills; comfortable delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback; time management.
  • Knowledge of or experience in audio, video and lighting industry or construction industry.
