Pastor Don Chandler has led Central Baptist Church in Conway, AR, since 1979. The church, which is located 35 miles from the state capital of Little Rock, contracted Paragon 360™ in 2014 for some design-build renovation work of their 900 seat sanctuary, which they moved into in 2003. The project, which was completed in May of 2015, included updated video systems, new lighting positions and control systems, and various custom scenic & architectural elements.
The new scenic elements included the re-surfacing and re-finishing of the Gothic columns on the back wall of the Worship Center platform, which dated the space more than any other element of the church. The columns also matched the old trim work around the video screens. Paragon’s design replaced that look with illuminated, frosted acrylic glass and new paint schemes throughout the space, in addition to wood/acrylic railings on the sides of the modular choir riser system. Paragon also provided their signature Modesty Walls and I-Walls, featuring a clean mixture of wood, textured rock, and illuminated graphics in a powder coated housing. The church also requested one of Paragon’s signature DE-360 Drum Enclosures to improve overall sound system mix & volume control. The enclosure was custom finished to match the interior of the Worship Center.
