Best-in-class Audio Systems, Engineering, and Acoustics
The completely new audio system included a comprehensive speaker system from Danley Sound Labs. With low ceilings, sight lines were important to maintain so multiple SH50 cabinets were used with the SHDFA downfill modules attached to the bottom of each. In combination with a single SH95HO for center front fill and a pair of DBH218 subwoofers, the system provides even, full range coverage throughout the auditorium. The system is powered with Danley DNA amplifiers and processed using Q-Sys control software from the QSC Core 110f.
FOH mixing duties were handled with an Allen & Heath D-Live series S5000 mixing system that includes a DM48 Mix Rack, a Dante card and a complete Waves Server-One combo. This mixing platform, consistent with the DLive products the church uses in their main auditorium, enables a simple transition for technicians as they switch between venues. Onstage personal monitoring is via Allen & Heath ME-1 mixers. The Allen and Heath ME1 person mixing system integrates perfectly with the DLive platform.
Wireless IEM monitoring was accomplished via Shure PSM900 transmitters and receivers with an RF Venue antenna combiner.
New Shure ULXD wireless microphones were deployed that included rechargeable batteries and charging cradles. The wireless microphone system was completed with a Shure PA821A antenna distributor and a pair of Shure directional antennas.
A Wi-Fi/RF base system from Listen Technologies was installed that allows users who need hearing assistance to listen via WiFi from their own device or from traditional RF receivers.
A custom package of hardwire microphones, direct boxes, stands and cables from Audix, Shure, Radial and ProCo finish out the system input needs. On-stage there are (8) Ace Backstage double-wide floor pocket locations for all audio connections along with the same connections that are mirrored on the backstage wall for when the stage is removed. All equipment is housed in Middle Atlantic enclosures along with Furman and Middle Atlantic power protection and sequencing systems.
Because the space needed to be fit for multi-purpose use, Paragon 360 acoustical engineers had to consider how to provide an excellent audio experience whether the space was used for a solo presentation from the stage to live music. Leveraging the industry’s leading acoustic panel solution, Paragon 360 wrapped the perimeter walls of the worship center with acoustic material, covered by FabriTRAK. FabriTRAK's technology enabled the space to maintain the interior design aesthetics while achieving pristine acoustical balance.
